The Organisation
EarthCare Foundation is a registered charitable institution under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, Hong Kong SAR.
We combat climate change by supporting initiatives that build sustainable food systems, protect and restore nature, and foster regional collaboration throughout Asia. Over 20 years, we have partnered with more than 100 initiatives, creating lasting impact for communities and ecosystems across the region.
Our Commitment
We believe that human well-being and a healthy natural world are deeply connected. The rapid loss of species and ecosystems—shaped by how we live—threatens the future we all share. As part of nature, we are determined to protect it. By working together across communities, industries, and governments, we can address these urgent challenges and build a sustainable world where people and the planet thrive.

Our Vision
A world where people and nature thrive together in harmony. We envision a future where every action respects the interconnectedness of life, and all sectors of society unite to protect the planet’s richness. Together, we can build a sustainable world—a shared home where balance, dignity, and flourishing ecosystems define our collective legacy.
Our Work
We address the interconnected challenges of climate change by focusing on three pillars: food and farming systems, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental stewardship. Through collaborative action and strategic partnerships—especially across Asian communities—we restore ecosystems, empower communities to live in harmony with nature, and build a resilient and enduring future where all life thrives.

Our Approach
• Focus on real-world solutions: We direct resources to initiatives that tackle urgent environmental challenges while strengthening social and community well-being, prioritizing the synergy of food systems, livelihood resilience, and environmental stewardship.
• Collaborate across Asia: We believe partnerships grounded in shared knowledge and cultural solidarity—among communities, the private sector, and governments—are essential for lasting progress.
• Build regional solutions: We unite stakeholders throughout Asia to develop and scale innovations that address the region’s most pressing ecological and social needs.

Our Journey
For over 20 years, we have focused on the synergy of food systems, livelihood resilience, and environmental stewardship. To date, we have supported more than 100 initiatives across Asia—from the Pacific Islands to our base in Hong Kong. Together with local communities and regional partners, we have explored pathways to harmony between people and nature, practical solutions to climate challenges, and the strength of shared knowledge—bridging grassroots wisdom and innovation throughout Asia.

Governance Philosophy and Management Structure
Governance and Accountability
As a Hong Kong-registered charity with over two decades of service, we prioritize professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all operations. Our governance ensures every action safeguards people and the planet.
Guided by Expertise
Our governance is led by a Board of Directors—four dedicated individuals with diverse professional backgrounds and deep alignment with our mission to protect the planet. Serving voluntarily, the Board oversees the Foundation’s strategic priorities, annual plans, and budgets, ensuring alignment with our core focus and charitable purpose.
Partnerships Built on Trust
Before collaborating with any grantee, we conduct rigorous due diligence to ensure compliance and operational integrity. Grants are managed through robust financial protocols, reviewed by an independent Advisory Committee (composed of two volunteer experts) to guarantee accountability and effective resource use.
Independent Assurance
All financial statements adhere to Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and undergo annual third-party audits by a certified accounting firm.
