“Beijing Longway Economic and Social Research Foundation” (referred to as “Longway Foundation”) is a non-public foundation approved for establishment by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, with its business supervisory unit being the Beijing Federation of Social Sciences Circles. It was founded in November 2009.
Foundation’s Mission: Cultural Reconstruction. It aims to explore the cultural continuity crisis that has been increasingly prominent in modern China, fundamentally resolve widespread cultural anxiety, and establish the cultural autonomy, value system, and discourse system of Chinese society. It also seeks to explore the new cultural and political demands of emerging social strata generated during social structural changes, so as to consolidate the foundation of cultural construction in social development.
